Im April 1948 wurde aufgrund einiger Inputs der Firma Farfisa eine neue Musikzeitschrift gegründet. Die Zeitschrift, einfach FISARMONICA (Akkordeon) genannt, hatte die Zielsetzung Musiker, Enthusiasten, Lehrer und Hersteller des immer mehr populär werdendes Instrumentes zusammenzubringen. In Tendenz mit seinen Lesern wechselte die Zeitschrift im Januar 1965 seinen Namen zu STRUMENTI E MUSICA und behielt diesen Namen bis zum Jahre 2003, als der unvergessliche Maestro Bio Boccosi, Direktor und Antriebskraft der Zeitschrift im Alter von 92 seine Arbeit beendete.
Trotz den großen Bemühungen seitens vieler Künstler und Intellektueller gab es eine große Leere und das Auflösen der periodischen Zeitschrift war vorauszusehen und erfüllte mich großer Traurigkeit.
Freunde und Kollegen wissen, daß ich mich immer speziell für die Publikation interessiert habe und nach Möglichkeiten suchte mehrsprachige Artikel zu veröffentlichen. Dieses Ziel habe ich versucht eisern zu verwirklichen und darauf berharrt bis ich eine festgelegte und qualifizierte Redaktion fand. Durch die Freundschaft großer Künstler und Lehrer war es möglich eine unabhängige Redaktion zu gestalten. Jegliche Hilfe, Kreativität, Kontakte und Anregungen vom In- und Ausland werden jederzeit gerne angenommen.

Das jährlich stattfindende Flead Festival, welches vom 19. Bis zum 26. August stattfand, ist das weltgrößte Festival irischer Musik, Songs und Tänzen mit 10000 Performern und über 250000 Menschen aus der ganzen Welt, die sich für diese kulturistische Feier treffen.
Vielleicht ist das interessanteste am Fleadh, die große Anzahl an Musikern, die mit Musik überall teilnehmen und somit eine wundervolle Atmosphäre für den Event schaffen.

Neue Informationen über dasTrophée Mondial 2007 de l'Accordéon, das in Samara – Russland, vom 4. Bis zum 8. November 2007 stattfinden wird, sind nun auf der Homepage der Confédération Mondiale L'Accordéon – CMA verfügbar.

150 Jahre Hohner und 150 Jahre Trosingen als Musikstadt – Dies ist ein spezieller Grund zu feiern!
Ich werde bei diesem Event in Trossingen, wo die Geschichte des Akkordeons angefangen hat, anwesend sein. Hohner hat eine komplette Homepage über den 150. Geburtstag in Englisch und in Deutsch gemacht. Ich werde einen besonderen Bericht über den Event einschließlich einiger Histoire über die Firma Hohner und Akkordeonaktivitäten am Wochenende machen.
Erstes Roland V – Akkordeonfestival in Südamerika - Brasilien

Mehr als 800 Menschen besuchten das 1. Roland V-Akkordeon Festival in Südamerika am 1. September im Elis Regina Auditorium in Sao Paolo. Der Event war ein absoluter Erfolg und das Publikum war bis zum Ende sehr beeindruckt.
Bruno Moritz Neto (Bild links) ist der Gewinner des brazilianischen Finales und Finalist für das internationale Finale. Er ist 24 Jahre alt, kommt aus Santa Catarina und studiert Musik an der Universität in Sao Paolo (USP). Er spielte Chick Corea`s Spain und Astor Piazzola’s Oblivion mit dem Roland FR-7.
Es gab 5 Wettbewerbsteilnehmer: Bruno Moritz Neto (aus Santa Catarina, spielte FR-7)
Franscisco das Chagas Gomes da Silva (aus Rio de Janeiro, spielte FR-7)

Die Jury beurteilte die Musikalität, Kreativität und die Kapazität jedes Musikers der in der Lage ist die außergewöhnlichen und potenzionellen Kriterien des V-Akkordeons besonders hervorzuheben. Nur 1 Punkt trennte den erstplazierten Bruno von Franscisco Chagas (zweiter links) sowie Jorge Trautmann dos Santos als drittplazierten (rechts).
Der erfolgreiche Abend endete mit einem Abschlusskonzert von Oswaldinho do Acordeon udn Band.

Patricia Holloway Passes Away - UK

Patricia Holloway, one half of the marimba and accordion duo The Holloways, played all over the world on cruise ships, in theatres and concert halls in summer seasons, pantomimes and cabaret, along with husband Guy. They have worked alongside Des O’Connor, Ken Dodd, Harry Hill, Jimmy Cricket, Roy Hudd, Norman Vaughan, Frankie Vaughan, Shirley Bassey and Bruce Forsyth to name but a few.

Born in Chingford, Essex in 1939, Pat began her musical career at the age of 12 with her older brother Johnny, playing accordions, violins, singing and dancing. They toured variety theatres as The Pantellas for many years and Pat went solo whilst Johnny set up a successful business and later became general manager of The Mermaid Theatre on the banks of the Thames.
Pat and Guy met while playing in Grin and Splash, a touring revue for Foster’s Agency. Guy spotted the talent in Pat and asked her to form a double act and, after touring together for five years, decided to make the partnership a permanent one by getting married. They had been married for almost 45 years.
A dear friend and colleague, Pat was known by almost every pro in the business as being kind, caring and having a wicked sense of humour. She died quietly on July 6, aged 68 of cancer.

Chango Spasiuk is appearing at the Skirball Cultural Center on September 23 for the Los Angeles premiere of his accordion chamamé music.
The Skirball Cultural Center is a Jewish museum that has come to include a variety of cultural programming including film screenings, art exhibitions, music concerts, comedy shows, lectures, classes, and the recently opened exhibition Noah's Ark at the Skirball. They welcome people from all backgrounds and strive to make connections between people, cultures, and communities.
The concert is titled Chango Spasiuk: The art of the Chamame. Argentina's Chango Spasiuk is a virtuoso of the accordion and a leading performer of chamamé. This powerful, accordion-based folk genre of northeast Argentina blends complex African and Creole-Spanish rhythms with the sounds and styles of the indigenous Mbya-Guaraní Indians and of Central and Eastern European immigrants. The award-winning Spasiuk has revitalized chamamé, much in the way that fellow Argentine Astor Piazzolla bred new life into the tango.
