Am 23. März wurde Aidar Gainullin im Rahmen des 20. Jubiläum des „HIKA“ (russischer “Oscar“) für die beste Filmmusik im russischen Film “Euphoria” und kurz davor mit dem National Award von Filmkritikern jeweils für “Beste Musik” im Film “The White Elephant” ausgezeichnet. Die Zeremonie für den Euphoria Award fand im berühmten Vsevolod Meyerhold-Center in Moskau statt.
Dieses Jahr wird für Aidar Gainullin sicherlich ein unvergessliches Jahr werden, da sich die Liste seiner Titel und Awards ständig erweitert: zu erwähnen auch die Auszeichnung „Tatar des Jahres 2006’ beim Internetwettbewerb des Providers Tatar World Servers tatarlar.ru.
Aidar Gajnullin ist kürzlich aus Chicago, USA, zurückgekehrt, wo er einige erfolgreiche Solokonzerte gab. Anfang April wird Aidar beim Festival der neuen Musik in Trossingen teilnehmen.
Musikmesse und Prolight + Sound mit Rekordergebnis von 108.000 Besuchern und 2.400 Ausstellern, Frankfurt - Germany
Die Internationale Musikmesse und die Fachmesse Prolight + Sound enden mit einem Rekordergebnis: 108.000 Besucher aus 120 Ländern kamen vom 28. bis 31. März 2007 nach Frankfurt am Main (2006: 102.143). Damit ist die Zahl der Besucher beider internationaler Leitmessen um sechs Prozent gestiegen – in gleichem Maße im In- wie im Ausland. Musikmesse: 250 Musik-Events mit Stars aller Musikrichtungen
Prolight + Sound: Leitmesse mit einzigartigem Angebot an Pro-duktdemonstrationen und Branchenforen für die Experten aus Veranstaltungstechnik und –management.
Detlef Braun, Geschäftsführer der Messe Frankfurt GmbH: „Die Mu-sikmesse und die Prolight + Sound sind mit diesem sensationellen Ergebnis die größten Messen in der Zeit ihres Bestehens. Ins-besondere für die Anbieter und den Handel im Inland ist und bleibt sie die größte Orderplattform.
Die Besucherzahlen spiegeln die Rekordbeteiligung auf Ausstellerseite: 1.604 Unternehmen (2006: 1.580) aus 48 Ländern stellten ihre Markeninstrumente und Produktneuheiten aus. Die Prolight + Sound. Die Repräsentanten der auf beiden Messen vertretenen Branchenverbände und der ausstellenden Unternehmen ziehen ebenfalls eine durchweg äußerst positive Bilanz. Während des Konzertes der Jungkomponisten der jährlich stattfindenden ‘Mazedonien Musiktage 2007’, (Organisation: Komponistenvereinigung – SOCOM, Patron/Präsident der Republik Mazedonien, Hr. Branko Crvenkovski und Kulturministerium vom 27. März bis zum 19.
April in Skopie ) päsentierte Elizabeta Ilievska ihr neues Werk „Hand“ Trio für Violine, Viola und Akkordeon.
Im Trio: Kliment Todorovski- Violine, Bojan Taleski- Viola und Bojan Volcevski – Akkordeon. Vorbereitet wurden die Künstler von der Professorin Zorica Karakutovska.
Der Multi Weltmeister ‘Speedy’ Julian Gonzales (Frankreich) wird Teil des Staraufgebotes während des 62. NAO UK Wettbewerbes, vom 4.-6. May 2007 in Scarborough, Yorkshire sein. ‘Speedy’ ist Gewinner des Coupe Mondiales 2006 in der Virtuoso Entertainment Kategorie und Gewinner vieler anderer internationaler Wettbewerbe.
Weitere Akkordeongrößen: Renzo Ruggieri (Italien), Mario D’Amario (Italien 2006 Coupe Mondiale Junior Virtuoso Entertainment Gewinner) und Grayson Masefield (Neuseeland).
Weitere internationale teilnehmende Persönlichkeiten sind Kevin Friedrich (CIA Präsident), Harley Jones (Fiji, Akkordeon Weltweit Direktor) und Lars Arnevig (Norwegen).
Die GB Jurymitglieder Raymond Bodell, Graham Laurie, Gina Brannelli, Elaine Beecham, Gary Blair, Alistair Gillespie, Karolyn Broadhead, Sarah Diggens, Frederick Parnell, Douglas Ward und Raymond Jones haben beschlossen ihre Teilnahme zur Unterstützung des CIA Coupe Mondiales 2008 in Schottland zur Verfügung zu stellen.
The National Association of Accordion & Fiddle Club annual festival took place at the Brunton Halls in the Scottish borders town of Musselburgh on the first Saturday in March. The weather was kinder than last year, enabling more competitors to travel long distances. There were 5 halls in use throughout the day, and the various accordion and fiddle sections proved to be competitive. Highlights from the bands competition and the evening concert involving prize winners were broadcast by BBC Radio Scotland on the following two Saturdays.
The adjudicators for the accordion sections were Roberto Enzo, Simon Howie, Jimmy Cassidy and Bill Black.

The Accordion Pops Orchestra under conductor Daniel Desiderio presents their third ‘Concert of Hope’ to benefit the ALS Hope Foundation, 7.30pm on April 21st, at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
The orchestra's roots can be traced to 1970, when it was founded by the Accordion Teachers' Association of New Jersey. Most of the twenty-five plus members of the orchestra are professional musicians or teachers. Many are soloists in their own right. The orchestra performs a repertoire of light classical, Broadway, big band and popular music. It has entertained audiences at concert halls, county fairs, festivals, schools, and playhouses at many locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York.
A grand accordion concert is to be held on April 17th, 7pm, at the Shire Hall, Howden, Yorkshire DN14 7BJ. The guest list includes accordionists Pearl Fawcett-Adriano (picture right), George Syrett, Harry Hussey, Murray Grainger, Sam Pirt, and the Wetherby Accordion Band (MD Brian Hibbert). George Syrett will also act as compere.
From 5pm there will be a trade show, involving The Music Room, Kestrel Publications, Harry’s Old Time Music Stall and Rob Howard’s ‘An A to Z of the Accordion&rsquo (picture left);. Murray Grainger will be demonstrating the Roland Virtual Accordion.
The event is organised by Hull accordionist Harry Kipling, and all profits will go towards cancer research.
The Paris Jazz Festival is an annual summer event, which presents a programme of free concerts in the beautiful surroundings of the Parc Floral, with concerts every Saturday and Sunday from June 9th to July 29th. The artistes involved are Big Band Mania, Swing Manouche, Jeunes Pousses and World Fusion. The concerts begin at 3pm and entry is free.
The lively folk band Toques do Caramulo, featuring accordionist Luís Fernandes, tour venues on the Iberian coast of Portugal, where they will be promoting their new CD ‘Toques do Caramulo é au Vivo’. Their concert dates are as follows:-
