Der kroatische Bayankünstler Miran Vaupotic ist mit dem Rijeka Philharmonikorchester, dirigiert von Miroslav Homen auf Konzerttour. Die nächsten Vorstellungen gibt es im Kroatischen Nationaltheater, Ivan pl. Zajc, Rijeka am 23, 27, 28, 29 und 30 Dezember. In der Aufführung wird das Stück „Konzert für Bayan und Orchester – rossiniana“ (in 3 Stücken) komponiert von Vladimir Zubitsky, vorgetragen.
Miran Vaupotic wurde 1982 in Zagreb, Kroayien geboren und studierte mit Vladimir Balyk (ausgezeichneter Künstler Russland`s) und Denis Modrusan (Schüler von Vladimir Besfamilnov), sowie an der Fakultät Kunst in Pula. Außerdem absolvierte er Fortbildungskurse mit bekannten Künstlern wie Alexander Skliarov, Yuri Shishkin und Owen Murray. Nach absolviertem Studium unterrichtete er in Zagreb, wo er nach wie vor als Lehrer tätig ist. Er ist Gewinner des All-Croatian Wettbewerbes und vielen anderen internationalen Bewerben wie dem in Pula (1999) und Cosenza (Trophee Mondiale 2003).
Er spiele mit eminenten Künstlern und Ensembles sowie dem Gitarristen Robert Belinic, Rucner String Quartet, etc. Miran`s Repertoire reicht von Klassik bis hin zur zeitgenössischen Musik mit eigenen Kompositionen und Premierestücken. Viele seiner vorgetragenen Stücke wurden von ihm persönlich für Bayan arrangiert. Sein Ziel ist es die Akkordeonschule in Kroazien zu fördern und auf das große Potential des Bayans als Konzertinstrument aufmerksam zu machen.
Eine nue Doppel-CD mit dem Titel ‘Memories’, mit Kompositionen für Soloakkordeon wurde kürzlich von Patrick Busseuil vorgestellt. Weitere Starteilnehmer in dieser Aurfnahme sind die Konzertisten: Thierry Accard - Frankreich, Max Bonnay - Frankreich, Philippe Bourlois - Frankreich, Angel Luis Castaño - Spanien, Claudio Jacomucci - Italien, Niko Kumpuvara - Finnland, Jean Marc Marroni - Frankreich, Anthony Millet - Frankreich, Dragan Vasiljevic - Serbien, Mika Vayrynen – Finnland und Cao Ciao Qing - China.
Patrick Busseuil ist ein international anerkannter Komponist mit vielen internationalen Preisen auf seinem Konto. Er wurde 1956 n Dijon, Frankreich geboren und studierte Akkordeon, Trombone, Doublebass und Komposition in Lyon/Paris/Geneva. Zur Zeit unterrichtet er Akkordeon und Komposition in der Ecole Nationale de Musique de Romans.
Renzo Ruggieri hat im Jahre 2006 mit einigen wirklich hervorragenden Auszeichnungen seiner Schüler aufmerksam gemacht:-

Vom 2.-6. November war Renzo Mitglied der Jurie im Fesival von Sarajevo (Musikdirektor Alma Flammesberg). Konzertauftritt mit der slovakischen Gruppe Pavol Bosnar - piano, Tomas Barosc – bass und Peter Solarick - tamburi. Am 18.November war Renzo Solist im Gallarate Jazz Festival (Musikdirektor Max De Aloe) mit einem Repertoire an italienischer Musik.
Renzo Ruggieri arrangierte die Musik der neuen CD “Three Brothers” von Frederick Schlick bei welcher er auch als Musikdirektor fungierte.
Am 6. Dezemer um 18 Uhr spielt Renzo in Teramo mit ‘Akkordeon und Elektronik“ sowie einem Solovortrag.
Seit November gibt Renzo Ruggieri Akkordeon-Jazzkurse im Konservatorium in Teramo. Onlinekurse sind in Italienisch und English (SKYPE ) möglich.
Am 18.,19. und 20. Jänner 2007 ist Renzo mit seiner Renzo Ruggieri Group auf einer Minitour mit der italienischen Sängerin Antonella Ruggiero in der italienischen Provinz Reggio Emilia unterwegs.
On November 22nd London-based Russian accordionist Nikolai Ryskov performed at the Open Evening of the Pushkin House, 5A Bloomsbury Square, London.
Pushkin House has been established to serve as a home and dedicated showcase for Russian culture in London, a focus for Anglo-Russian cultural exchange, a provider of education and information on Russian language and culture, a resource and networking centre for individuals and institutions.

The North Shore Accordion Orchestra performed before the start of the Farmers Santa Parade, in Auckland on November 26th. This parade attracts a crowd of nearly quarter of a million children and parents who lined the streets to see the bands, floats and clowns bringing Santa to town.
The picture shows Lionel Reekie conducting and a clown attempting to conduct the group whilst they are performing. The Orchestra played Christmas carols and pieces they are to perform in Dargaville at the Museum opening on the December 3rd.
Mario D'Amario, young accordion entertainer and winner of the prestigious competition of Castelfidardo, performed his first major solo concert on the occasion of the 12th Festival dell'Ancia Libera in Collecorvino. Mario played with great ease about an hour a program of music by Richard, Evans, Morocco, Piazzolla, Astier, Corea, Parker, Abreu and Ruggieri. The show was organized in memory of Claudio Calista.
Italian accordionist Ivano Battiston performs in two concerts with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra, MD David Bellugi, on December 2nd and 3rd in the Centennial Hall, Rock Island, Illinois.
These concerts, part of the Masterworks Series, include performances of ‘Overture to Il Signor Bruschino’ – Rossini, ‘Ancient Airs and Dances’ – Luciano, ‘Concerto for Accordion’ (‘Aconcagua’) – Piazzolla, ‘Concerto for Accordion, Recorder, and Orchestra’ – Battiston, and ‘Symphony No. 4 in A Minor, Op. 90’ (‘Italian’) – Mendelssohn.
The annual National Accordion Organisation North West Area Championships for the 2006/7 competitive season take place in the Marine Hall, The Esplanade, Fleetwood, Lancashire on December 3rd. The organiser is Gina Brannelli (picture right). For further information email: accordions@talktalk.net
The NAO UK Championships take place at The Spa, Scarborough, from May 4th to 6th 2007. The Spa Complex, a Victorian masterpiece, hosts the Championships with six venues under one roof.
The weekend will feature an International Solo Class, own choice program only, plus competitions for all levels including solo, duo, ensemble and orchestra as well as a large trade show with music and instruments. Festival events include a Ceilidh dance (with Gary Blair and his Ceilidh Dance Band) and performances by international guests.
The Victor Prieto Trio will be performing on December 3rd, at 8.30pm, at Cornelia Street Cafe, New York. The trio includes Victor Prieto – accordion, Carlo DeRosa - bass and Mark Ferber- drums.
The 32nd International Accordionists’ Competition takes place in Pula from April 24th to 29th. The competition includes sections for bayan, piano accordion, standard bass and free bass instruments. Entries must be made by March 1st 2007.
On Friday December 8th, at 8pm, Stockport Accordion Band and Orchestra concert perform their annual charity concert at Broken Cross Club, Macclesfield, Cheshire. All money raised goes to the East Cheshire Hospice.
