Erstes
internationales Nord- West- Akkordeonfestival, Blackpool - England
Das erste
internationale Nord- West- Akkordeonfestival findet vom 14. bis zum 17.
Oktober im Pontins Holiday Centre, Lytham St. Anne's in Blackpool, England
statt. Dieses neue Ereignis ersetzt die Akkordeonveranstaltungen, die in
den vergangenen Jahren in Bridlington stattgefunden haben.
Auf der Gästeliste
stehen Jack Emblow und Tony Compton, Daniele
Ravaglia (Italien), The Flores Brothers (Frankreich), Nelson Lebre (Portugal),
Gina Brannelli, Harry Hussey, David Vernon, Amaryllis, William Langton,
Andrew Figg, Stefan Bodell, the Petulengos, und the 2Js. Es
ist ein großer Bereich mit Workshops geplant, und für die Leitung
der Workshops sind John Leslie, Alistair Cameron, Jean Hanger und Brenda
Webster vorgesehen.
Das Event beinhaltet eine umfangreiche Handelsschau, einschließlich
Akkordeontausch und Musikwelt, Rolston
Accordions,Accordion
Times, The
Accordion Shop, Geoff Holter Accordions, Accordions of London, The Music

Castano und
Marroni Seminar, Serre Eyraud - Frankreich
 Angel
Lusis Castaño und Jean Marc Marroni waren bei einem Seminar
für klassische Akkordeonisten, welches vom 31. Juli bis zum
7. August in Serre Eyraud in den französichen Alpen abgehalten
wurde, die Professoren.
Angel Lusis Castaño ist ein Professor für Akkordeon
am Zaragoza Konservatorium für Musik und ebenso ein Konzertakkordeonist.
Jean Marc Marroni ist ein Konzertakkordeonist und Professor am Konservatorium
Aix en Provence in Frankreich. Beide waren CIA
Coupe Mondiale Meister, Jean Marc Marroni in Paris 1985 und
Angel Lusis Castaño 1990 in Trossingen.
Die Musik von Komponisten wie zum Beispiel Camarero, Gubaidulina,
Busseuil, Bach, Banchikow, Kusyakow, Abbott und andere wurden geübt
und am Endkonzert vorgespielt. Insgesamt nahmen am Seminar 16 Schüler
aus Frankreich und Spanien teil; die Teilnehmer Eduardo Vallejo
und Toño Jaques (Spanien) und Damien Paradisi (Frankreich)
gaben Solokonzerte in der Stadtkirche.

Akkordeonistin tritt bei einem Shakespearestück auf, London
- England
 Akkordionistin
Lisa- Lee Leslie tritt jeden Abend auf der Bühne in der William
Shakespeare Produktion "As you like it" (wörtl. "Wie
du es magst") im Wyndhams Theater in London.
Die Situation ändert isch vom Forest of Arden im 16. Jahrhundert
in ein Pariser- Style Café Ende der 40-er Jahre. Musikdarsteller
führen Lieder im Balladen- Style auf, die extra von Tim Sutton
komponiert wurden und von Lisa-Lee Leslie auf dem Akkordeon begleitet
werden. Die Songs wurden im Stil der 40-er Jahre Ära geschrieben.
Sie passen zu den Stimmungen der Handlung und Charakteren.

'La
plus Grande Ginguette du Monde', Paris - France

A
concert of traditional musette music took place at Le Zenith, Paris, on
May 18th, featuring several leading French accordionists. The show was titled
'The Largest Ginguette in the World', and performing were Michel Pruvot,
Louis Ledrich, Maurice Larcange, Louis Corchia (accordion and bandoneon)
and Andre Verchuren.
The compere was
Michel Varenne, and present in the audience were accordionists Harry Williams
(the son of Andre Verchuren) and Roberto Milesi, journalist Caroline Linart
(from the magazine 'Accordeon et Accordeonistes') and the composer Marc
Provance. The show followed an accordion competition that had taken place
in the same venue earlier in the day.

Eastbourne Accordion Festival, Sussex - UK

The
next Eastbourne Accordion Festival takes place from February 17th
to 20th 2006, at The Cumberland Hotel, Eastbourne. Organised by former
All-Britain accordion champion, John Romero, the program includes
concerts by leading musicians such as Andy Anderson, Gary Blair, Paul
Chamberlain, Sue Coppard, Gennaro Fiondella, Harry Hussey, Lisa Lee
Leslie, John Romero, Romano Viazzani and Charlie Watkins.
The trade show includes Trevani Studios, The Accordion Shop (Electronic
Accordions Ltd) and WEM. In addition, leading accordion technician
Stan Mayhew will be on hand for advice with accordion tuning. There
will also be a full range of workshops and dancing.

Das
finnische Akkordeontrio Frates in Rock! Werden am 26. August um
22.00 Uhr beim Venetsialaiset Festival in Kokkola auftreten. Durchschnittlich
besuchen dieses "End of Summer" Event (wörtl. Ende
des Sommers") 25000 Menschen jedes Jahr. Auf dem Konzert werden
Frates in Rock! ein heavy- rock Musikprogramm von Black Sabbath,
Uriah Heep und Deep Purple spielen.
Der erste nicht- irische Gewinner in der Akkordeonsektion war der
in Amerika geborene James Early, Gewinner der Senior- Pianoakkordeonmeisterschaft
1976 und seit damals kommen viele Besucher von verschiedenen Ländern.
Knopfakkordeonist Joe Burke war einer der führenden irischen
Musiker, die während des Konzertes Musik vortrugen.

Kirkpatrick at Maritime Festival, Guernsey - Channel Islands
The
Autumn Accordion and Folk Week takes place at the St Audrie's Bay
Holiday Centre, in Somerset, England, from September 3rd to 10th.
This venue has been a regular and very popular base for accordion
festivals for many years, and the next event features John Leslie
and Harry Hussey.
The
2006 San Francisco Accordion Festival will be held on June 4th at
the Cannery at Fisherman's Wharf. Tom Torriglia writes:
"I am very pleased to announce
that the 16th annual San Francisco Accordion Festival, a free event
celebrating National Accordion Awareness Month as well as highlighting
San Francisco's official musical instrument, will be held on Sunday
June 4th 2006 in the Del Monte Square at the Cannery at Fisherman's
Wharf. This event goes from Noon to 6pm, features a wide variety
of accordion-based bands and will include the San Francisco's Main
Squeeze Pageant".
