Akkordeonist in Zirkus-Theatervorstellung, Kalifornien – USA

Klucevsek und Jean-Francois Baez werden von 1. bis 27. Juli im
‘Cirque Lili’ im Barclay Theater in Irvine, Kalifornien
auftreten. In diesem Stück wird der französische Zirkuskünstler
Jerome Thomas besonders hervorgehoben für welchen eine Komposition
an Klucevsek in Auftrag
gegeben wurde.
Die Vorab-Werbung verlautet: „2 virtuose Jazzkünstler begleiten
live durch die ganze Aufführung und verleihen dieser somit eine
magische Atmosphäre“. Dieses außergewöhnliche
Theaterstück wurde seit 2001 über 200 mal in ganz Europa
aufgeführt, jeweils mit Live-Musik und hat im Barclay Theater
seine Uraufführung in Nordamerika.

Alexander
Sevastian stellt neue CD in Toronto vor - Kanada

Akkordeonist Alexander Sevastian hat kürzlich seine Neue CD mit
dem Titel 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' mit einem extensiven Konzertprogramm
auf den Markt gebracht.
Die aufgenommen Stücke sind Arbeiten von Bach, Scarlatti, Schubert,
Goubaidulina, Repnikov, Berinski, Derbenko, Kachaturian, Mendelssohn
und Rachmaninov. Der Künstler wurde in Belarus geboren und hat
sein Studium auf der Gnessin Musikakademie abgeschlossen, wo er Schüler
des international anerkannten Konzertisten und Lehrers Friedrich
Lips war.
Alexander Sevastian, der nun in Toronto/Kanada lebt ist Gewinner von
3 internationalen Wettbewerben - dem 'Oslofjoird' in Norwegen, dem
'Cup of the North' in Russland und dem ATG 'Anthony Galla-Rini Wettbewerb
für klassisches Akkordeon in USA. Konzertauftritte führten
ihn nach Russland, Kanada, Ukraine, Italien, Frankreich, Deutschland
und USA. Neben seiner Solokarriere ist er seit 2002 Mitglied
der international anerkannten Gruppe Quartetto Gelato und war mit
dieser Formation in über 100 Städten in USA, Kanada, Italien,
Korea und Japan zu Gast.

 Neues Musikbuch und CD, New York – USA

Der Akkordeonist Mario Tacca hat ein neues Buch mit dem Titel ‘Mario Tacca – Original Compositions for Accordion, Solos and Duets’ publiziert. Jedes der 10 Stücke hat einen ausgewählten musikalischen Stil mit ethnischen Background.
Das Buch wird am Markt mit einer CD angeboten auf der Mario alle 10 Kompositionen spielt. Zusätzlich hat er separate Tracks für für 2. Akkordeon in 4 Duettstücken aufgenommen um Spielern Begleitmusik für Duett anzubieten.

65th ATG Competition and Festival, Texas - USA

 Jazz was in the air when the Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International (ATG) held its 65 th Annual Competition and Festival in Richardson , Texas (Dallas). Featuring jazz legends Art Van Damme and Frank Marocco, the festival also featured an International Jazz Competition for Accordion, which attracted contestants from the United States and Europe .
Julien Labro from Detroit , Michigan won the $3,000.00 First Prize in the Art Van Damme International Competition for Jazz Accordion. Originally from France , Julien is student of World Champion Peter Soave at Wayne State University . The 2nd Prize was won by Peter Martin from California .
In addition to the Art Van Damme International Jazz Competition, there was a special International Jazz Competition category honoring Frank Marocco, which was won by Jérôme Richard from France .
 In addition to Art Van Damme and Frank Marocco, the festival concerts featured artistes such as Mirco Patarini (Italy), ATG President Stas Venglevski, Dee Langley, Dr. Karen Fremar, the UMKC Community Accordion Orchestra, Jim Rommel, John Simkus, Gordon Kohl, Sharon Seaton and popular Texas artiste Ginny Mac.
The 2005 Festival Accordion Orchestra under the direction of Joan C. Sommers performed at several concerts during the festival including the Taste of Musical Excellence Press Concert, an appearance accompanying Frank Marocco and closing the Saturday night Gala concert.
Workshop presenters included Frederic Deschamps (France), Art Van Damme, Frank Marocco, Ginny Mac, Jim Rommel, Dr. Sharon Seaton, Gordon Kohl, Jeff Crilley, Misha Litvin and Dee Langley. Joan C. Sommers was inducted as the new ATG President at the conclusion of the festival with Dee Langley re-elected First Vice President and Stas Venglevski Second Vice President.
Plans are already underway for the 2006 Festival in Minneapolis , Minnesota , which will include workshops, displays, concerts and competitions. In 2007 the ATG will join forces with its sister organization and fellow CIA member - the American Accordionists Association (AAA) to co-host the 60 th Anniversary Confédération Internationale des Accordeonistes (CIA) Coupe Mondiale World Accordion Championships in the United States . |

Akkordeonorchester Kammeltal mit dem 1. Preis in Castelfidardo ausgezeichnet/Italien

Castelfidardo - die Heimat vieler Weltklasse-Akkordeons war für die Kammeltaler Akkordeonorchester eine Reise wert. Wer wagt, der gewinnt: Nicht nur das Orchester von Marianne Baldauf, auch das von Ihrer Tochter Anja geleitete Jugendorchester kehrten preisgekrönt aus Italien zurück. Die Gegend, sehr schön in der Nähe vom Meer gelegen – war als Jahresausflug für die Musiker gedacht und so verbrachten die Akkordeonisten ein paar schöne Ferientage in Fano.
Ernst wurde es dann am Freitagnachmittag beim internationalen Wettbewerb in Castelfidardo, wo die Kammeltaler zusammen mit Musikern aus China, Kroatien, Slowenien, Italien und Deutschland antraten. Als Wertungs-programm spielte das Orchester 1 das Divertimento ritmico von W. Russ und Krakatao von Stefan Hippe.Die Mühe hat sich gelohnt. Das Orchester 1 wurde als 1. Preisträger von Castelfidardo ausgezeichnet und erhielt neben dem Pokal den Geldpreis der Stadt Castelfidardo, überreicht von Jurypräsidenten Vladimir Zubitzky.
Weiter erhielt Marianne Baldauf den internationalen Medienpreis der Multimedia-Gesellschaft Schmülling International, Herausgeber der Zeitschrift Intermusik überreicht und von Frau Holda Paoletti-Kampl den Spezial Award-Preis von Accordion Worldwide. Das Jugendorchester 3 unter der Leitung von Anja Baldauf nahm erstmals bei einem internationalen Wettbewerb teil.
Die Jugendlichen bereiteten sich gezielt vor und trugen die vier Sätze aus der Märchensinfonietta von Rudolf Würthner auswendig vor. Auf Anhieb schaffen sie es auf den 3. Platz. Als Preis erhielt das Orchester den begehrten Pokal der Stadt Castelfidardo und einen Geldpreis überreicht vom Juryvorsitzenden Paolo Picchio. Eine schöne und erfolgreiche Reise, für die Kammeltaler Spieler.

Pascal Contet Accompanies Silent Movie, Bois d’Arcy - France

L'aurore' is a silent movie melodrama made in 1927 starring George O'Brien, Janet Gaynor and Margaret Livingstone, and directed by FW Murnau.
This classic film is to be shown at Centre Culturel de Bois d’Arcy, Rue Baragué, 78390 Bois d’Arcy, on June 24 th, at 8.30pm . Accordionist Pascal Contet provides live accompaniment throughout the film.
